Sketch comedy about the pitfalls of living your life through social media.

SYNOPSIS:

One woman’s determination to teach her son about generosity (and document the ‘teachable moment’ on Facebook) is tested when she loses her phone over a fence. Taunting her from just out of reach with its constant notifications she must make the ultimate sacrifice if she is to know how people are reacting to her post.

The kaupapa behind this micro-budget project was to get out there and make something fun that took into account the limited amount of time the mothers in key creative roles had - which is why we chose to shoot on a go-Pro in just one day. Although the lead actress had an emergency on the morning of the shoot and I had to jump in as actor (!!), the vibe on set was supportive and chilled and we all just rolled with it. We’ve been pleasantly surprised that this crazy little film has had such a high hit rate into comedy festivals around the world.
